The next morning we were eager to get back out onto the beautiful moor and tiny country lanes. We will miss these landscapes and breathtaking experiences that come with the lanes.
We were off to explore Cornwall’s picturesque drop dead gorgeous coastline!!!
Every twist and turn along the coastal route brought stunning views for us to admire. Each viewpoint becoming more and more beautiful in its own right. A bone chilling 2 degrees, felt like minus six. These low temperatures couldn’t keep us from enjoying these spectacular views. We rugged up like penguins , even Rob needed extra padding to keep warm. Now it really did feel like Christmas.
Only a wife could love this!!!
We were surprised by the beautiful views from Saint Endellion. We stopped here parked and did a beautiful walk around the headland and down into the cute fishing village which was perched on a cove. We found it was hard to pull ourselves away from this tiny picturesque village. We found a great restaurant overlooking the tiny cove where we sat and enjoyed triple cooked hand cut potato chips to warm ourselves from the cold.
Padstow was our next coastal village to explore. The coastal villages are a real treat!!! Cute quaint historical buildings, cobbled narrow streets with stunning bays to explore. A wow around every corner and too many yummy cafes, restaurants, craft Christmas Markets and unique handcraft shops to explore.
Next stop, was a real show stopper and awesome natural beauty. Watergate Bay and of course Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen Restaurant sits hanging over the coastal cove.
We went for a walk along the beach admiring the cliff faces above. Just a magical place.
We delighted in watching the wild wind blew the ocean spray as the waves curled and came crashing down. It made the waves come alive like sea horses dancing along the ocean. This was another magical natural sight that drew us in.
The coastline is certainly rugged and wildly beautiful. Don’t think I could handle the cold now.
