We then left Madrid and made the short (mountain) drive to Segovia – famous for its cobbled streets and amazing Roman aqueduct. This aqueduct was built to allow water to flow down into the town from the mountains. So impressive – nothing holding the stones together – blows your mind to think that things like this were built over 2000 years ago!
There was another amazing cathedral, and some very unusual pastries!!
We then made our way to our rest stop – Salamanca – a beautiful town by the riverside. We went for a stroll along the old Roman bridge and Kim spotted a local otter just relaxing!
