MALVERN HILLS
We woke up to stunning hinterland views here in Malvern Hill.
The ridge walking trail leaves from our back door so we tramped off to explore the countryside. An excellent trail ran up the ridge. The weather starts off with light rain and instantly changes. Walking is slow due to the muddy wet track but it feels like heaven out in the peaceful trails.
Rob admired the jaw dropping views that he described as orgasmic. That’s marriage for you.
When we neared the top of the ridge the high chilling winds hit our cheeks like icicles.
After a 3km walk we stopped at a pub for some well earned chips, garlic bread and a pint of the local ale.
On our walk back we admired the Christmas Holly, green, green Ivy and mosses that proudly dressed and crept around the forest trees.
Wild cider apples drop to the ground unable to continue growing due to the high winds up on the ridge.
UPTON UPON SEVERN
We head into Upton a small historical town set on the river Severn. These waters travel all the way from Wales and take three days to travel here. Some of the roads here are still closed here due to recent flooding. Here in this photo you can see the park bench still under water.
Lanes are tight here on the ridge. How is this for crazy parking.
At 3-00pm the temperature was 5 degrees too cold to have your hands out of your coat with out gloves.
Another great day spent outdoors. ย Tomorrow we are going to visit the forest where Star Wars was filmed and catch up with an old mate of Rob’s.
