๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง Christmas in the land of Squirrels

Our lounge room window is our view outside to our new neighbourhood. The spectacular church that towers though our front kitchen window is the centrepiece of the adjoining courtyard.

It is a quiet space of beauty and a playground filled with nature. I watch in amazement as a red bushy tailed fox quickly runs cunningly down the late night street.ย  Squirrels scurry quickly through the trees stopping to play and chase each other like cats.

Looking up you are constantly overwhelmed by the wise old squirrel who stares down at you as if you are his entertainment.

Spotting squirrels is easier here than looking in a ‘Where’s Wally?’ book.

We head out on a Christmas stroll before lunch counting excitedly all the squirrels on our path.

There are many green spaces adjoining the quaint apartment living.

We explore the streets of Islington.


Rob stopped to grab a few last minute snacks at a local corner shop opened on Christmas Day.


It is hard to stop admiring the Church grounds at our door step.

We shared a quiet Christmas lunch satisfied as we had spent the morning chatting to close loved family members.


Our afternoon is spent tucked up on the lounge watching Star Wars ready for the big screening tomorrow night.
