A gondola ride through thousand year old merchant canals of Venice was a wonderful way to spend our last hour together in Venice. Christian was our cheerful gondolier! He serenaded us as we floated through valleys of colourful ancient building and under low bridges. The water was a clear mirror of aqua green and the morning air was clean and fresh. Floating the canal was a great way to escape the busy streets full of expensive shops. A must do in Venice as it was so quiet and relaxing.
